Remedial Therapy

Remedial therapy, as the name suggests, is an intervention aimed at assisting an individual to achieve a normal or increased level of functioning when performance is below expectations in a particular area. Remedial programs are generally designed in ways through which a gap between a child’s expected performance and current performance can be bridged. It focuses on imparting core skills. It is also known as Developmental education Basic Skill Education or 3R’s Education (Reading, writing, and Arithmetic). It is a basic catch-up education for typical students of a certain age who have fallen below minimum standards in the areas of literacy and numeracy skills.

What’s our therapist do?

Before your treatment, the therapist will want to know whether you have any specific concerns. Please be candid and clear. During the assessment, they may use different techniques to assess what needs to be done.
If you have a particular injury, the therapist may ask about any referred pain, away from the injury itself. They will then tailor the treatment to your needs.

You can specify whether you would prefer your remedial massage to be firm or a little more gentle. The remedial massage or myotherapist will also be able to provide insight into the best approach needed for your condition.
If the pressure is too strong, please let the therapist know.
